Jammers
has went through many changes since we purchased the Bar back in July of
1996. At that time is was the "Place To Be" (or was it).
Every year is a new construction project is started to get the place in even better
shape for our valued patrons. Below is a little bit of the fun
during the construction phases over the years. The best part is we
are running out of project to do.
July
96 - The takeover. We couldn't figure out why the bathrooms had such a
pleasant odor until we ripped the walls down and found the plumbing
spraying water everywhere. The flooring was removed dripping in water and
____(well you fill in the blank). Next step, bleach and lots of it. After that
was repaired and remodeled (two 19 hour days) we could reopen the bar.

After
we finally got the bar open (people were getting thirsty) we started to
work on our siding project inside the bar. We decided to install a
few windows since there was only one in the entire bar and added a sliding
door to our soon to be deck. We added the deck during the summer for 97.
It was made from an old cedar church roof that we converted into deck boards.

During
1997 we continued working on the interior of the bar. We worked on putting down a new tile floor and started siding the
front room. As you can imagine this was quite the project with every
patron giving us his or her ideas. Where were they when we really needed
the help??? Needless to say there were a great deal of long days down at
the bar working to get this finished. We also did work in the back room,
added a office, remodeled and upgraded the kitchen, and many other
projects too numerous to name.

Our
big project for 98 was a new roof. We also added a new entry way to the
bar to give it a better look and to help keep the cold Wisconsin air out. The old roof consisted of 4 layers of
shingles, and believe it or not, it still leaked. We managed to fill up 3
roll off dumpsters with shingles and other waste during the project.

Our
project for 99 was the siding. We decided to keep up with our neighbors by
following Golden Eagles lead and going with the log look. We added 3
windows into the house portion to match the rest of the bar and then it
was off to the races siding the place. We really miss that old siding
(not). We also added new doors to replace the cobbled ones we had and
after last summers heat decided to also add some additional air conditioning.
